@Andrew Mowe

It’s working for me. I bought a 2 unit property, mortgage is $830 and I rent it for $870. I’m planning on refinancing from 15 year to 30 year. Once I rent out the unit that I am living in, it should cover my next property with some cash left over.

I just bought my first home (single family) for around 90k with a 15 year loan.  It is in great shape, and i can afford to pay it off In about 5 years.  My question is, should i pay it off as soon as possible or should i work on buying another home in a year, and have one up for rent pay for itself?
