Hey guys! Thank you so much for all of your advice! I really appreciate it and will definitely try to sit down and have a talk with the broker and if something can't be done I will probably go elsewhere. I'm not the type that likes to be "spoon fed" or have someone "hold my hand" but I just need a starting point! :) I live in a small area population wise (town sizes are generally under 1,000 people) so I was just trying not to offend my broker because everyone knows everyone. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to help it really means a lot!

Not to be flip, but why are you there?

I did an internship there for college (which was not very informational) and the broker had a completely different attitude at the time... fooled me! Being young and foolish I never thought to ask about a training program before I signed a contract... I will definitely learn from this mistake!

Hey thanks Mike! I appreciate your response! I asked my broker about training when I started and his response was "we don't do that here." So he told me "when you have a question just ask." I ask but I never get a good answer and when I ask about this question its... I don't even know... it's like he doesn't know the answer, but he has to because he is the broker... as far as a mentor at the agency that is virtually non existent. Everyone is out for themselves and it is crazy some of the backstabbing things that I have seen already. This is crazy!

Hello everyone! I am in need of some help! I just graduated college a few months back and have obtained my real estate license. I haven't bought a house yet of course so that experience won't help me either. I did all of the education and took my exams and I am now working for a broker. My education didn't really go through the process of buying a home from a real estate agents perspective it "basically" just gave me definitions of words and went over math formulas. I have tried numerous times to ask my broker about this and it is a run around the bush and end up talking about something that I didn't even ask about... So my question is if someone could help me out by making a timeline of events (in order) that a realtor has to do and the time frames (number of days etc...) in which they have to be done. All the way from the first engagement with a potential client until everything is complete. Both sides would also be great to have (buyers side and sellers side of the timeline) I am even so lost as where I don't know what forms I need to bring to what meeting and where to even get them. My agency also does not have a training program at all. Nothing at all! I am very independent and usually can figure out most anything on my own and a lot of times enjoy doing so but this is a different story. I know this is a lot to ask but I am out of options and don't know what to do! I tried to google this over and over but cannot find anything that is tailored for an agent and that has the time frames that need to be followed and what documents that I need to take to each meeting with the clients, the title company etc... Any help will be very much appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!
