@Mona Russo Family practicalities sometimes win over actual tax numbers.

Either way, I wouldn’t do a Quitclaim Deed. They are much tougher to get title insurance with. I have a law firm and title company and the title insurance underwriters rarely accept a QCD. Perhaps a Special Warranty Deed would work better.

@Aaron Moayed Attorneys are also licensed on a state-by-state basis. I’m an attorney in Texas with a title company, but don’t have a clue on the nuances of say, Florida real estate transactions.

You’re better off finding an attorney that’s local to the deal you’re analyzing.
