@kj miller It sounds like your desire is to help people and the real estate part of it is a bonus. This is just my 2 cents worth but have you considered setting up a non profit organization to accomplish your goals? I by no means know the ins and outs of the technical process for starting a non profit, but believe it would allow you to bring on like minded people who may shy away from investing in a for profit company but would be willing to donate time, money or expertise to you for a good cause.

Hi Brandon, Thanks for the welcome. I have already found a lot of very useful information on this site. I would have to say this is the best random link I have ever followed on the internet.

Hi Paul, Thanks for the welcome. I have just changed my focus from single families to include the properties up to 4 units so I am still getting a feel of what the multi units available around me are. My farm area is Wyoming and Kentwood, but I don't count out the other great areas of GR, just have a better handle on the area in Wyoming and Kentwood. I see your a project team leader, What kind of projects do you work on?

Hello Everyone, I am a Contractor and investor from Kentwood, MI. I am currently working with 1-4 unit possibilities for buy and hold deals that need a little TLC. I enjoy the remodeling and updating of properties for the sweat equity that it can build into them. I do currently have a flexible day job so it allows me to build my investment business on the side until I wont need the day job anymore as my intentions are to be a full time investor at some point.
