@Chris T. I have lived in Simpsonville for the last 3 years but I am a district manager and several of my stores are in Charlotte, NC. I am there for work at least a couple days a week. Count me in for the meet up. Looking forward to it.

I would like to attend if you don't mind newbies. I am still in the learning phase of my investing plan but would really enjoy networking with locals and hearing about their experiences. I especially would like to hear recommendations on agents, property managers, contractors, and lenders to use an possibly which ones to avoid.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have they key words set up but did not know about the /meet. Certainly look forward to meets as I would like to reach out to others in the area and get recommendations for agents, lenders, and good contractors to work with.

Hello everyone. I live right outside of Greenville, SC and work in both SC and Charlotte, NC. I found this site about a week ago and have been addicted since. I have spent every non working hour this past week reading the forums, guides, and listening to the podcasts. I had to get on here and say thank you to all those that contribute. There is a wealth of information here and I already feel like it has given me a solid foundation of knowledge for real estate investing. I appreciate the balance here in the BP forums between positive encouragement for investors and their questions mixed with reality checks and the negatives shared. I look to get my feet wet and start investing in the very near future. I have seen several active BP members here that are in the areas I work and live and look forward to networking with like minded individuals. Buy and hold/rentals is what interests me the most. The things I have going for me is a good education (business/accounting), income, credit score, and 10 years of experience as a district manager making others a lot of money. Also, I lived in Houston, Texas for 35 years and owned a house in Cypress and a beach house in Galveston. I certainly have some knowledge about good and bad places to live around Houston. A short summary of Texas is ridiculous heat and high property taxes!
