Hello everyone. I live right outside of Greenville, SC and work in both SC and Charlotte, NC. I found this site about a week ago and have been addicted since. I have spent every non working hour this past week reading the forums, guides, and listening to the podcasts. I had to get on here and say thank you to all those that contribute. There is a wealth of information here and I already feel like it has given me a solid foundation of knowledge for real estate investing. I appreciate the balance here in the BP forums between positive encouragement for investors and their questions mixed with reality checks and the negatives shared. I look to get my feet wet and start investing in the very near future. I have seen several active BP members here that are in the areas I work and live and look forward to networking with like minded individuals. Buy and hold/rentals is what interests me the most. The things I have going for me is a good education (business/accounting), income, credit score, and 10 years of experience as a district manager making others a lot of money. Also, I lived in Houston, Texas for 35 years and owned a house in Cypress and a beach house in Galveston. I certainly have some knowledge about good and bad places to live around Houston. A short summary of Texas is ridiculous heat and high property taxes!
