Hey all,

I am in search of a SFH/MFH that is approx 2 hours or less away from NYC. I have contacted several realtors who are seemingly 'at capacity' for new clients. We are looking for a rental property that we can use as a vacation/get away spot as well. Does any one have any recommendations for an investor friendly agent that can point us in the right direction?

Thanks,

Jason

My fiance and I live in LI are looking for REI friendly agents in the Hudson Valley area. We are interested in buy and hold single or multi family houses but need some education in possible areas.

Beacon has been up and coming for a while but seems it is pretty expensive right now. Newburgh has some potential but some not so great areas as well. Any other insights to investing in the Hudson Valley region are welcome!

Thanks!

Some friends and I have discussed purchasing a single family home as an investment property, with the goal for it to be owned by an LLC. There are four partners in this deal. What is the best way of obtaining a mortgage? Should we all agree on one loan officer and submit all documents to them or can we each apply individually and see who gets the best rate etc? Thanks!

Hi,

I live on Long Island and have been doing my research to buy my first smaller multifamily investment property. I am not sold on buying an investment property on Long Island as everything is a bit more expensive in NY, however this is the area that I know best. The cash flow might be there on some properties but the appreciation of the property usually is not. Additionally, multifamily houses are far and few between. I am interested in getting peoples opinions with regards to investing on Long Island vs the Newburgh/Beacon areas 'upstate'.

Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
Jason
