Is it smart to refinance right now to get equity out my home. I have a about 70k of equity in my home. I am looking to purchase my first rental. My other option would be to pick up my family ( 3 kids and my husband) and move two hours away to live with my parents and rent our house out. I honestly don't want to move my kids school but I will if that is the best option in getting started with owning rental properties. Thanks for any advice.

I'm looking to network with others in the DFW and Surrounding areas. I've been studying real estate for the last few years. I've been working toward getting my first rental property. But due to COVID and my husband being laid off due to it set us back some. I hate the thought of pulling equity out my house to purchase my first rental. So I am thinking of doing wholesaling. I've tried it before but now I have a better understanding with it. Would love to hear others experience with wholesaling. Thanks for your time.

So I am new to investing in rental properties. My goal is to buy a duplex. I am trying to see the smartest way to finance my first deal. I am a home owner and have about $70k or more of equity in my house. I thought about selling my home for the equity to use to purchase a multi unit or renting my house out and moving my family to a rental. Any thoughts would be helpful.
