I recently came across a deal on a duplex that has awesome numbers. Come to find out, the owners are actually selling a package of duplexes: 3 others for a total of 8 doors. I thought it was a single duplex at first and I could handle it, but the four duplexes is too good of a deal and I do not have the capital to lay down.

I want to get an investor in my area (Atlanta) to go in on the deal with me. How can I do this without getting screwed over? I have multiple avenues to find an investor, but I don't want to give the deal away without getting at least something in return other than "valuable internship experience." 

How should I approach this?

 I'm located between the two right now haha! Living with the parents until I can build up enough capital. But I did go to college in Athens, so I know the town pretty well. Getting a feel of both markets at the moment!

My name is Jarrett Babcock and I'm from Georgia. I'm completely new to real estate aside from reading a few books on real estate investing and being a consistent listener of the bigger pockets podcast. I was born in Georgia and intend on staying here for a bit!

For hobbies I love listening to music, playing guitar, reading, being outdoors (hiking, backpacking, camping, kayaking), lifting weights, playing sports, and meditating. Having deep discussions on music is one of my favorite things to do. As for my more boring interests....I like finance and numbers! Analyzing deals will never be a chore for me.
