@Jaron Walling we are hopeful our property will work. There are a few renters in our neighborhood. And one property is renting high and is smaller than ours so we think (hope) it will be ok.

As for the rates, we are already at 2.7% and hoping to get it a little lower so we can use the extra income as a buffer if anything goes wrong. We've heard some horror stories and want to be prepared as best we can.

@Nathan G. Thank you so much for all the great points. Jess and I are really excited to begin this journey together. It is a little daunting though.

@Bjorn Ahlblad yes, I have been listening to the BP podcasts and I will look into getting the book. You are the second person to recommend it. Thabk you again.

@Madeline P. Thank you very much. I will look for him. Quite excited to begin this journey.

I am in thr military, and using a VA loan. I keep getting letters in the mail saying I can bring my APR down to 1.79-1.98% is this with it? I am looking at trying to refinance my house at a higher rate and take the equity to hopefully get a second property. Additionally, I am looking at renting my house next summer. Trying to determine best options.

Thank you

Jarret & Jess

I am in the military, and my wife and i are ready to begin my journey in passive income. I have a "new home" ( 2 years old) and will be looking to rent it starting in the Summer of 2022. I have never rented a house before and looking for mentorship on contracts, picking a property manager, tenant screening, what to include with the house (lawn & pest management...etc) and how to determine the best cash flow. Anything else really. My house is in the Brandon, Florida (greater Tampa area). Thank you and we look forward to talking with you

I am trying to start investing in properties, but capital is extremely tight right now. I am looking to see if anyone has knowledge and can advise on Fundrise and DiversyFund investing companies. I am first looking to invest my money into properties, and then get to a point to use OPM and my own capital to start a portfolio of my own.

I am in the military, and moving to Brandon, Fl to be near my kids. I will be buying a house, and want to begin investing again as I lost everything to my ex-wife. I have found a house which needs a complete renovation as it has been extremely neglected.

In Tampa, does anyone know a good:

- inspector

- handy man/contractor

- recommendations

Thank you

Jarret
