@Patti Robertson hi Patty, thanks for your response! I would love to get into the VA area. I actually have family that also live in VA Beach. I will keep Norfolk on the back of my mind!

Hey guys, I'm a Connecticut local looking to get out of this state. I'm looking towards the Carolinas, Florida or Virginia for a new place to start investing and house hack. Any investors from these areas with recommendations of cities/towns etc? I've been doing a little research but having locals and other investor feedback would be great. Thanks!

@Kevin S.the no search is killing me
Hey guys, so I'm waiting to close on a property that I'm aquiring through a short sale. It's been a back and forth battle just to get to these final stages. I'm waiting on the attorneys to figure out their issues with the sellers two lienholders before I am able to close. (That's holding up my short sale approval.) The interest rates are going to go up. I plan on refinancing in a year to hopefully accomplish a successful BRRRR strategy. They want me to pay $570 cash extra at close to hold my rate at 4.75%. When it comes to tax advantages would it just be worth taking the higher interest rate since a refinance will be coming up within the next one to three years? I still am waiting to hear what the new rate is so I can calculate if the extra money on the monthly payment is going to mess with the cash flow and ROI. Any suggestions financially and for you tax experts I'd really appreciate. Thanks!

Hey guys, it's awesome to see you guys posting so quickly on this topic! I would definitely love to see you guys at the BP gathering at the Groton library. I have been skeptical about the Norwich area, especially seeing how the tenant kept the lower level unit. It is priced very competitively and in a decent section of Norwich. I as well would more so prefer other districts in New London County but my price range is really pretty much capped at 160k. That's why this BP meeting would be great to meet some of you guys. I could much more easily discuss some of my goals and parameters of what I can afford with you guys as well. Thanks again for clarifying Norwich not being one of the best rental areas. Not only by thought but from experience as well. I look forward to posting on here, and hopefully will see some of you guys later this month at that meeting!

Hey guys, I'm a new investor. Looking to get into multifamily Real Estate investing. I've been looking to move out for a while now and figured what better way to go than by starting with a multifamily and have rent pay my first mortgage. Is anyone here from Connecticut that knows if the Norwich area in New London County is worth investing in? Thanks in advance. I look forward to meeting and working with locals. I'm a young guy hoping to grow an impressive portfolio!
