Great! Thank you. Did you have any recommendations as far a location? From what I understand, upper Manhattan has higher class neighborhoods whereas the south side is more college oriented. Additionally, I was planning on flying out there to preview the city, do you have any recommendations as far as specifics that I should focus on looking at in person? Thanks again

Thanks y’all, I’ve slowly realized myself that the market in Manhattan isn’t as full of quadplexes as I’d hopped for. With that being said, is there more hope with triplexes, or should I move to duplex. My goal is to use this as a “hacking rent” investment and take the opportunity to pay down some debt as fast as possible. My main focus however is on commercial real estate, and staying  away from residential over the long haul.

I am new here to BiggerPockets but was attracted to this forum because I am looking to invest in properties with proper guidance. I am 22 years old and moving to Manhattan Kansas in about a year.  With this in mind, I was looking to purchase a quadplex to start my real estate endeavors. I have contemplated a duplex, even a triplex, but I am eager to start and to grow my portfolio as fast as possible. If anyone has advice or lives in the area please share your knowledge!
