Alabama

Hi. I'm new to investing in Alabama tax delinquent sales and I'd love to hear about any successes (or failures) you've had in buying tax liens/tax deeds.

Thanks!

Hi Denise,

An out-of-state lien purchasing company won an auction I was bidding on at a tax sale; is that lien totally lost or are there some ways I could try and get the tax lien? I could reach out to the company to ask if they're willing to sell it for a higher price. Is there anything else? For example, could I pay off the back taxes owed on behalf of the property owner and hope that it goes back up for auction next year? Would I have to pay just the back taxes or the amount paid at the auction (which was a lot more than the back taxes)? Is there any other way? Thanks for any advice.

Hi. Can you send me the email address too? I submitted a bid application but haven't heard back. How long does it usually take for them to respond? Thanks.

Hi. I'm looking at buying a tax delinquent property listed on the Alabama revenue website. The owner is listed as a person on the state transcript of tax delinquent property list, but when I go to the county revenue website, it says the owner is the State of Al. Does that mean the owner died and the property went to the state? Would I still need to wait 3 yrs to get the deed? Could I make improvements on the property and start renting it out before the 3 years are over? Thx for your help!
