New investor looking to get started in Chattanooga.  I have been learning as much as I can over the last several months and am ready to get started.  Time is always moving so waiting is to lose.  Hoping to find and close on my first in the next 30-60 days.  Concentrating on multi family properties.

I travel a lot for work so I am interested in anyone has any opinions on property managers in the area.

Hello everyone.  I am looking to get started in RE, but i work in the maritime industry and some contracts can have me traveling abroad for up to 11 months at a time.

I am curious about doing a FHA owner-occupied loan for my first property but was wondering that if I am gone for such a long time aboard a ship would that cause an issue that could be viewed as fraud? Assuming that i would not be renting out the unit that i would live in.

Any help would be appreciated.
