totally agreed. But apparently this was a guru saying that if u have your llc in Nevada it's the best because of the veil I stated. I was just curious if anyone else had heard of this. I'm pretty impressed with how quickly the BP community shot that down as BS almost instantly. I'm obviously in the right place :)

fair enough.  and point well made.  you know what the funny thing about this is?  a guru seminar is where this info originated from apparently.  i find that highly disturbing.  what really is being taught in these meetings.  just scary to me.  thanks everyone for the feedback.

i appriciate the feed back. this isnt necessarly what im going to do, just what i heard was a good idea. i by no means have a 1M+ net worth, but was curious what others heard about a foreign entity. this post wasnt made in ignorance, just curiosity. i am an active member in REIA's have a network i work closely with etc. i was wondering if anyone had found benefits from this, or heard that its worth it for that matter. i welcome the specificity in ROB's post. i think it is great that investors here are willing to strike fear into hearts of those that havent done their research, if for nothing else but as a deter-ant. i will keep reading these opinions with enthusiasm, as this is what we are supposed to do for each other. thanks to all involved.

so, recently i was told that even though im in wisconsin, the best state to register my LLC in is nevada. Speciffically because the corporate veil is much much harder to pierce. to the affect of the only way to pierce it is proff of fraud, period. has anyone else heard this and what is involved with registering you LLC out of your home state? Any insight would be greatly appriciated.
