i'd never beat someone up for this.  "i want to pay down debt because it's important to me" is way, way different than saying "I want to pay down debt because I don't know how to invest."

Chad Carson has had some great content on this - how it de-risks a portfolio, for example.

just curious if you don't mind sharing, what's your portfolio look like?  what are you going to pay down first?

I'll send you a direct message.

Google excel amortization schedule….

Trying to find one that I can put in multiple debts, and play with extra principle payments etc etc

Yeah, there are a lot of those... but  amortization is not being considered.
Isn't that a factor and won't that change the payoff date?

Quote from @Steve Vaughan:

Avalanche method is highest rate first, so analyze that one.

Snowball method is smallest balance first. I'd recommend that if the rates are close.

If you share your balance, rate and payment you can make it takes me 2 seconds to find how many months to zero on my HP 10B calculator.

Can easily change the payment amount or term.    Say you want it paid off in 36 months.  Easy to spit out how much per month.  I'm 3 years into a 6 year acceleration now on one.  Like a car payment😎

@Steve Vaughan unless I misunderstanding using a typical  "balance, rate and payment" calculator doesn't factor amortization.
Isn't the paydown different on a typical consumer loan than on an amortized loan?

google the excel spreadsheet for amortization schedule

But I'm looking at a number of loans with different terms-- not just one loan.

I know I'll get "beat up" here on BP for even suggesting paying everything off :) but I'm at the point where I'm ready to stop scaling (for now) and have everything paid off.

I'm really struggling to find an Avalanche Debt Payoff Calculator for mortgages.
Everything I find is just for general consumer debt.  Am I wrong to think that I need a mortgage calculator due to amortization schedules?
Where can I find a calculator for this?

WOW! @Costin I. What a great, great response. Great information there.
I'm definitely taking away some good nuggets there.

I'm at the place where I'm ready to stop expanding and ready to focus on debt pay off.

@Cody Lamb Am I wrong to think that mortgage debt is calculated differently than other debt-- and calculators like the one your referenced don't factor that in?
I'm looking for a debt payoff calculator that specifically looks at mortgage debt.
