Post: Downturn Scares? Preparation?

Why do so many people here think that the last housing crash is some how part of the normal real estate cycle?

Spoiler Alert: It’s not. Prices are right where they should be in most of the country.

If I were to listen to the average poster here I would just wait for “the next crash” and scoop up properties for 50% of the value they are today.  Any day now.........

Oh look, it’s this tired thread again.  Doesn’t some chicken little post this once a month?

1.  There isn’t a housing crash every 8-10 years.  That’s just a ridiculous statement.  What happened during the last recession was a once in a lifetime occurrence.

2.  The economy shows no signs of slowing down.  Turns out we have a roaring economy when we actually focus on America first.

3.  Any slow downs in the housing market will be regional.  Just because houses are overpriced in your market doesn’t mean the same elsewhere in faster growing cities.  They can’t build fast enough where I am at.

But it’s been great stopping by.  Can’t wait until next month when the next bigger pockets Nostradamus predicts a housing crash and Great Depression.  Maybe one of you will be right in and decade or so.  But I have all the faith in the world you “experts” will still be making these monthly prophesies until then.

Do you think gun owners sit around their homes twirling pistols around their fingers and shooting into the air every time their football team scores a touchdown?

Plenty of instances where guns are used in self defense or as a deterrent and has saved a homeowners life.  Perhaps cool it on your talking points and realize that America has a unique background with civilian firearm ownership and its what made and makes America what it is. Its not going to change by shunning and discriminating against ppl. Sorry to say.... not really.

Some people cant help themselves and must bring their politics into everything.....

A person that passes all the requirements for a CCW goes through a pretty thorough background check and gets finger printed.  So common sense says that they have lower crime rates than non (legal) gun owners.

Free advice: Investing and politics don't mix.  Turn off CNN and listen to a BP podcast perhaps.....

Some people are simply ignorant about money and finances and there is nothing you can do other than show them what they will make and what the income from it will be if invested. If the numbers do not convince them you are talking to a wall.

Nothing idiotic about passing a legacy onto your children and setting them up for success.  I would rather do that than sell to a vulture circling around looking to pay as little as possible for something that has been in the family for almost 70 years.  *Newsflash* many people invest to set their future generations up for success.

Being an "investor" doesn't entitle you to anyone's property and doesn't make them an "idiot" just because they wont sell to you to improve your portfolio.

There is no bubble and LOL @ having it both ways.  Being on a real estate investing site and being anti capitalism.  Let the dumb and ill informed fail, that way smart people like me can capitalize on their mistakes.  Life isn't supposed to be fair and daddy government cant legislate equal outcomes, only equal opportunity to succeed or fail.

@James Murphy

Why do you assume I am white?

Prejudge much?

Would my opinion matter more to you if I were to show my skin color is a shade darker than white?

Racist much?

You can't fight perceived racism with more racism of your own.  Seems like you have some inner demons of your own to face first.  I wish you well on your journey good sir.

Not biased at all.  Clicking on the link led me to lots of anti white articles.  Take your racist propaganda elsewhere troll.
