I currently have a multifamily (owner-occupied) through a FHA loan. I am looking to purchase a second property, a single family, and looking to see what my financing options may be. I've been researching a heloc, but wondering if that's the best course. Any advice would be welcomed.

@David M.appreciate the feedback, will certainly look over my insurance policy!

@Stephanie P. Thank you for the insight!

@Jaysen Medhurst understood, appreciate the feedback.

@Jaysen Medhurst That is true, I don’t have many assets to protect. At least not for the time being. I was wondering if LLCs were a common practice amongst landlords. I’m a first time homebuyer so just trying to learn the ropes a bit.

Pre-Approved for FHA, considering creating an LLC to protect mysef against potential future lawsuits with tenants. Is it worth it?
