Quote from @Rachel H.:

@Jake Rodriguez The best thing to do would be to check with your local zoning office. Have the legal description and address of the property with you before you talk to them. They will need that information to look up the zoning and restrictions (if any) on your land.

Tell them what you plan to do and ask if you're allowed to do that with the current zoning of the land. They should be able to answer your question.

If there are restrictions, ask them what you need to do in order to move forward with your plans of putting RV hook ups on the land and rent them out.

Hope that helps!

Rachel, Thank you so much for the response. I'll do that tomorrow! I appreciate it. On another note, do you think my plan is a good idea? What are your thoughts?

I currently have a home in Jamul California with a few acres of land. Am I allowed to put a few RV hook ups on the land and rent them out? I cant find any straight answers on my google searches. Thank you in advance.

Good evening ,

My name is Jake and I bought my home in Feb 2020 here in San Diego. I would love to get into REI and wanted to see if there are any meetups in the area. I look forward to meeting some RE people and getting my feet wet. Thank you.

Quote from @Jonathan Klemm:

Hey @Jake Rodriguez - To be honest Ive never read out of state real estate investing and BRRRR but I 100% understand the value in those two.

I've actually focused more on business and mindset books and two of them that had a dramatic impact in my life are E-myth by Michael Gerber and The Power of One by Ed Mylet (new book)

The other thing that really changed my life is getting involved in the Chicago local meet up groups.

Let me know how I can help.

Jonathan, thank you so much for your recommendations. Mindset and self improvement books are always good. I feel like they repeat many of the same concepts but there are always a few gems in each one. Thank you again.

JD, this is my favorite personal finance book ever. This really changed my relationship with money. Thanks for the reply!

@Jake Rodriguez coming back for BP con?

I am not sure what that is. I would guess it stands for Bigger Pockets Convention but I have no info on the event. I will return in October.
