Are you still open to sharing your pitchbook? I would love to see an actual example as well! Thank you.

@Michael Plaks thank you, I sent you a PM.

@David Gotsill that's some good advice, thank you!

Hi All,

I am looking for recommendations for a Real Estate attorney in Houston TX. We are working on a 7-unit deal where the seller (Family office investor) will finance a portion of the purchase price and rehab costs on the property. Interesting part is, the seller wants to operate as the GC on the Rehab to sweeten the deal (they have a construction & development business). We aren't opposed to doing so but don't know how to work this into the docs or any legalities we may be missing.

Originally we wanted to stick to the standard TAR commercial contract and AIA construction contract. May need some additional documentation considering this structure.

Any recommendations are helpful.

Thanks!

Welcome to BP! Like yourself, I work a full time job that I enjoy, however, I plan to purchase my first investment property that will hopefully lead to more properties and FI in the future. Best of luck!

There are many meetups through out Houston, but I do agree that the majority of those are not listed on BP. I'm not sure what area you are in but I would be open to a meet up anywhere in the inner loop or Pearland/South Houston area. I too specialize in financial valuations, more specific to Oil & Gas companies. I look forward to chatting.

Hey Brian. welcome to Houston and congrats on the new job. I also just started a job downtown and have been looking at the EastEnd/Eado area for small multifamily properties . Would love to stay connected and bounce ideas/questions back and forth.

I wondered this myself, a lot of heights properties have the garage apartments. Don't have much insight but looking forward to following this post.

@Hadar Orkibi I meant the point Fred Heller was making in reference to 3rd ward not living up to the hype. As of now its true but as more students move closer to campus due to many more developments going up i think this will change. It's hard to say what area is not over priced because all areas have appreciated a lot over the past few years. My recommendation is the closer you can get to 288 the better. The medical center is close and easy access to downtown. If you can find the map of the expansion of the light rail it may be smart to try to snag a property close to the line. It was posted somewhere here on BP but I cant seem to find any sources online so I can't say for sure.
