For a straightforward project like yours I would look for a draftsman vs. an architect. Also, to Sherry’s point be very cautious of who will be handling your permits. A plan runner will be more cost effective and they specifically take your plans and move them through your local government to get them signed off and get any corrections done that may pop up (they usually do). You don’t want to get charged hourly for an architect to sit and wait to be seen at the planning department while your money ticks away.
