It sounds like you have a great set if goals established. I have to say congratulations on the quick start to real estate investing. Sounds like you have a great vision and a lot of drive.

I am also 23 and new to the world of real estate investing. Similar to you, I am looking to invest in a multi-family property and live in one of the units while renting the remaining.

What was the most difficult step in acquiring your first property and how would you approach it differently?

Hi, my name is Jake and I am new to the world of real estate investing! I just graduated from college this past spring with a degree in construction management. Throughout college, I took a number of real state, construction, and financial courses that sparked my interest in real estate.

I'm looking into investing in a multifamily home for my first property. The difficult position that I'm placed into is with my current job. I accepted a great starting position right out of college in a company leadership program that requires me to move every 6 months to a year....and these aren't close moves.

I still have lots to learn and I feel like this is a great place to sharpen my skills while I wait. My goal is to be knowledgeable and ready to make great deals once the moving stops...or before I turn 25.

I'm looking to make new colleagues, mentors, and ultimately friends from this experience.
