@Philip Mccleary Thanks, I have not purchased my first rental property yet. I am reading as much as possible but if you know of any groups who meet about real estate let me know.
My goal is to buy rental properties in my home town. I live in South Texas. We had a bad hurricane two years ago. If I use BRRRR method and refi and repeat. What happens if a natural disaster comes destroying my investments? For example in 5 years if I have 5 rental properties using BRRRR method and hurricane comes and destroys two of them and I can't put renters in them. Do I still have to pay the loan is houses are destroyed? Will I lose the rental properties?
@Melissa Kirchhoff Thanks again. Reading a bunch right now. Just learned about HELOC and this also seems like a good option for us.
@Melissa Kirchhoff I honestly have been listening to Greg Cardone a bunch. Heard him say rent where you live and buy where you can rent to others. My wife and I work for the school district as teachers. We have a hard time saving and want to buy some rental properties. This is our goal. So with the 100 k we we're hoping on buying 2 rental properties this year. Our taxes have also increased very much and are getting tougher to pay every year. The area we built at is really growing. Also, would I talk to a bank for leandig? Thanks for the advice. It was great. And about the renting. We would hopefully buy again on the furture but not sure.
I had a real estate agent come and look at my house. I owe $140,000 on the house and real estate agent said well can sell our house for $260,000. I have only been in the house 5 years and property keeps increasing in value. My plan is to sell my current house and rent a apartment so I can purchase some rental properties. I don't currently have any rental properties and don't have much in savings to put down 20 percent for home loan. Just wanted to see if this sounds like a good option for my family.
