I live in Chattanooga, TN too. I have one rental here and one in Knoxville. I am by no means an expert but I know the city decently and can give you my 2 cents if you have any questions. My strategy is buy, live in and fix up over time then move and rent that place. Could be a good strategy. I saw your one post said you used the VA loan so would love to help out another vet.

Would be interested in learning more information. Email me at [email protected]

Hey Adelaide!

One really nice thing is you could possibly come in below that 150-250k for a decent SFH in a good area. South Knox is my preference although all the investors are already aware. Y'all could keep your cost of living super low to free up capital for investing and paying off debt! Do your research on the south loop and all the outdoors stuff in south Knox because there is a large desire to live near these!

I have a long term rental in lookout valley in Chattanooga, TN.  I was wondering if any local investors new any info for long term how this neighborhood looks  as an investment. Let me know, thanks!

Also I have 2 homes in South Knoxville. Any investors know any info on what neighborhoods are looking good in south knox?

@Jake Smith May i ask how you went about permitting for those 12? Do you have them under multiple peoples names? I only have one but have looked into expanding

@Carol Birnberg in south Knoxville! It is actually connected to the south loop trails about 4 miles from downtown.

I love Knoxville! It is starting to become an outdoor and brewery hotspot! There are actually around 40 miles of mountainbike/running/hiking trails in city limits and they are working on connecting them to downtown. I have a short term rental in Knoxville that does very well
