Im going to househack a 2-4 unit SFR using an FHA loan. I am also trying to utilize the first-time home buyer down payment assistance program, but the site says they don't allow investment opportunities. If Im living in it and renting it out, is this still considered an investment property? If so, does anybody know how I can get a 3%-3.5% down payment and use down payment assistance for a househack property?

 I'm most curious about how you found a property that had separate units and what you did for outreach.

What do you mean by househack a SFR with multiple buildings? You mean like a townhome?

 Well, I am trying to figure out where I can find properties with separate units. For example, I don't want to share living space with tenants. If there are 3 units then I want there to be 3 kitchens. Do you have a recommendation on where I can find small multifamily properties that have distinct units? 

 Hey Derek, I do not need much assistance on the financing end of things. When you say you are in the process of a househack do you mean that you are in the midst of financing one or that your current living situation is a househack?
