Who do people use for insurance for the real estate properties located inside your IRA? I am having a hard time finding a good company here in Florida, getting rediculous quotes.

TIA

I work with investors in Jacksonville to buy cash properties. Nothing in war zones, NO 32206, 32209, 32208. Best is 32205, but others will work too. Jack

@Aaron Staley

You can attend the local REIA, but leave your wallet at home. I have yet to attend a REIA event where someone did not want money in exchange for something else. That is the beauty of Bigger Pockets. You don't need to go to the REIA, most are dying off as a result of a bad model (Psssst, they make money off the members buying the latest "guru's" Get Rich Quick Scheme). Best for you to learn at BP, listen to the FREE, did I say FREE audio they feature and put in a search for "Jacksonville" anytime someone posts something about our great city, you will be notified. I do not have the time with my current stuff going on, but I can help in an email, if you need something.

Not a big fan of the REIA model, it preys on the weak, who are looking for information, thinking that the local REIA MUST be where all the successful investors are located. Sometimes. Not always.

Best of luck to you!

Pass, better to get 1 loan with your credit score, than to run up debt on many cards.

Juliet - I would look at Yelp to find least expensive offerings in Jax. Beaches will cost more since it's the summer season. Great city with lots to do in Jax! Have fun!

@Chris Elliott Your call on this one. How much are YOUR lungs worth to you? Yeah, you can get the cheapo 30 cents mask, or get a real respirator and control the air you consume.

If the house is worthy of a respirator, perhaps you should walk away. There will always be another deal somewhere else. Probably in air you can breathe!
