I am currently looking to buy my first home and I would like to purchase a small multifamily to house hack. What areas around OKC should I look for? What are good investing areas around the OKC area?

Congratulation on taking ACTION!

I just reached a HUGE milestone and I am debt free!!! Now my next step is to have a 6 month of emergency fund. Which is where my question starts. Should I invest in a Roth IRA ($500/ month) and save for 6 months of an emergency fund? I calculated it and it should take me 4 months to reach my 6 month of expenses if I don't save for a Roth. What should I do?!

@Jamie Kammers

Congrats on putting an offer! How long did you stay in the “studying” phase?

@Nate O.

Awesome story and Congratulations! Keep killing it!

@Scott Lennon

As far as Real Estate is concerned I don’t think there is any effect YET. I think by 2022 things will catch up and something will happen. The only big thing that took a hit in my opinion is AirBnB and hotels/motels.

@Kincaid Ryken

After you finish your current book read “Set for Life” my Scott. Then read Investing in Real Estate with No and Low Money Down! Also CashFlow Quadrant is a must!!

Jon thanks for replying! I live in the OKC area. My plan is to move into a duplex fix it up a bit ( depending on the condition) and within a year move out and have both doors cash flowing.

Hello I am super new to BP and currently I am acting like a sponge and soaking up as much information as I can (books, podcasts forms). My question is I plan to move in May of 2021to a duplex and house hack it. What are somethings I should know before buying my first real estate investment? Or things you wish you new before house hacking?

Thanks!!
