For me the first two books have helped me to determine the best strategy for for REI which are the BRRR and buy and hold long term rentals.Reading my first two BP books took me about a month and a half each, but for this next one the goal is to have it done in 3 weeks. How long did it take you guys to get through? Are there parts your reread or paid special attention to?

Im in the education phase of Real Estate Investing and I'm on BP book number 3: The BRRR book by David Green! I've loved everything I read so far (How to Invest in Real Estate, Long Distance Real Estate Investing) but I wanted to hear from you guys before cracking open my next book!

For all of you who read it, what things especially stood out to you that you are using today? How long did it take? After finishing it, what did you read next? How did your BP reading inform some of the deals you did afterwards?

Thanks for sharing!

Hey everyone!

I’m still in the education phase and working my way through @David Greene’s book Long Distance Real Estate Investing (great book by the way)!

I think buy and hold over long distance is a strategy that can work for me but Im wondering about how to set up the system for on going market analysis. In the book David talks about how keeping track of changes in the local market is key to knowing whether to stay in a region, or pull out etc.

How do you guys keep track of what’s going on in the markets you have investment properties in? How do you do this in a systematic way? How did you set up the system?

Thanks so much for helping me learn everyone!

Hi everyone! I just started my career in law enforcement in the DMV area (hoping to change to a department or agency in the midwest-preferably Chicago), and after getting introduced to bigger pockets by a really good friend, I have decided that the best place for me to start in real estate would be to house hack my first home and go from there. I would love it if anyone had any advice or ideas on how to prepare to buy my first home with a house hack in mind (I'm thinking about the Chicago area).

Does anyone have any strategies that are especially effective for law enforcement?

Any suggestions on things to do/not to do when buying your first home?

Thoughts on buying a first home given the market at this moment?

Thanks in advance everyone!
