That is awesome, sounds like your finding deals all over. Currently just investing in Columbus and surrounding suburbs. We just visited SD and got quite the sticker shock when we pulled up Zillow, but we are very spoiled in Columbus with real estate prices and cost of living. That is great you are house hacking, I wish we had done more of that early on.

I am a new real estate agent and I am working on bringing in leads and building a client base. I am trying to set up a Google Business page and it offered $500 in free marketing to start, but I got lost quickly with writing the advertisement. Would anyone be willing to connect with me talk about advertising strategies, keyword use, basically how to set up a good online presence. Or if you can suggest any good resources(YouTube, websites) for learning about this, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I totally get where are coming, I think most of my friends think my husband and I are crazy for investing in real estate instead of playing in safe in the markets. As well I just recently got my real estate license to start helping other investors and they are even more confused by that. 

It has taken me several years to feel confident talking to people about the choice to invest in real estate, but once you see the great results it gets easier. I think it is also getting over the stigma of "you should never talk about money", now I am very comfortable talking about the money part and I am more then willing share my journey down to every last dollar.

If it comes up in conversation I just always keep it casual and say "it has been a great fit for me and my family and I would be happy to share more details if your interested."

What markets are you in? We are Columbus, but my husband actually works out of SD, so we are very familiar with the area.

Columbus and surrounding suburbs are a great rental market. I am a Columbus native and have been investing in the area since 2013. New Albany is a great buy as far as appreciation and location goes, but you will be hard pressed to find any cashflow, given the price points. I would be happy to chat with you more about areas of Columbus and what markets to target.
