Greg H. I was thankfully able to find some one to buy the house. They can afford all the repairs and are excited about the purchase. Fortunately I got my money back and had a great learning experience. Thank you sir. I can't thank you enough for all the advice and help. I apologize for the vague details and everything. I was confused about some aspects of the situation. I was advised by many to get a lawyer about the lady who sold it to me not disclosing the condemning of the house but I couldn't afford that. I'm glad to the have the house out of my hands. It was a good learning experience for me. Thanks again. You were a big help sir.

Greg H. I contacted the seller and she said what happened was very unusual and should not have occurred. She is a broker and has been in real estate for over 30 years. She said she will make some phone calls and try to help sort everything out.

Greg H. The seller did not disclose with the title company or us about the house being condemned. The cost of bringing up the house to code is way more than I can afford. I don't know what to do. People are saying to sue the seller but that's expensive as well. I'm stuck in bad place with this house and I'm not sure what to do. I would like to talk to the seller and see if they will work with me or talk to a lawyer for advice.

Greg H. Thank you for commenting! It was about condemned about two weeks after I sent my earnest money. The title company didn't know it was condemned at the time of purchase either. A week later I found a slip on paper attached to the house that said it had been condemned by neighborhood services. The person working at the title company said what the seller did was immoral. The seller made no effort to mention anything about the house being condemned. The code violations are about Windows plumbing electrical and flooring. I think I will have to try to sell the house for what I paid and let it go.

I purchased a house for $15000 and some time in between the purchase and getting the title the city condemned the house. I was unaware of this before it was too late. The seller did not inform me of this. The house must now be brought up to code which will be very expensive. Now I don't know if I should try to sell the house and just get my money back or borrow money to fix it up all the way. Please help.

Can some one cosign on a FHA loan? If so, would it make the requirements less strict?
