I am in the process of purchasing an apartment building that sits atop acres of unused land. Considering investing in mobile homes to place on lot to produce extra income. Has anyone ever had experience with this?

Glad it all worked out for you! Hiring the right contractor is crucial with any project but I've yet to meet any that will work a seven day week twelve hour day schedule. Weekends are overrated I say but they disagree :)

Chris,

My state has a "Vacants to Value" program that I was looking into but decided to invest in a different project. How long did it take to repair the fire damage in your building??

Has anyone ever restored a fire damaged building? Seems like a total teardown but just curious about experiences others have had. Also, interested in finding out about special government grants for projects like this.

Great advice, I appreciate it! Hubzu just requested my agent's license number and contact info. Maybe that's a good sign.

My price is very fair because the house is occupied and if my bid is accepted, removing existing tenant is on me. Also, the basement is unfinished and I haven't even seen the inside of the house. I don't know what kind of profit I'm looking at because I don't know what the house needs. I'm just not comfortable paying more when I don't know what's going on inside.

I've done some research and see that they were asking a semi reasonable price for it when it was for sale. I just don't want to go that high. You think waiting it out isn't a good idea?

Currently bidding on a Hubzu property and am below reserve. I've reached out to a rep regarding making a deal on the listing but their response was " If the Seller chooses to negotiate, they will be in touch". I feel like I would be better off contacting the bank and going from there. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Robert K, The triplex dumpster numbers don't seem that off to me. I have four and pay over eight hundred a month. Triplex may be on the county route but not approved for service for whatever reason.

Ryan M - The dumpsters need to be compatible, that's why I am searching specifically for the best fit.
