Hey everyone, I recently posted a video on Morris Invest outlining how horrible they were and showing how Clayton had to know what was going on. I am working on an article now as well to go along with the video. I keep finding more and more dirt. I have a few pictures of houses that Morris Invest never finished, but I was wondering if there are more out there? I would love to add as many as I can. Since Clayton claims he was told he can't go in houses because they were already rented, I thought it would be interesting to see the outside of these houses or lack of houses that he thought were rented and doing just fine.

Thank you!

I thought I would add a few things I have found while putting together a video on Clayton and Morris Invest. Clayton was on my podcast in early 2018 and that was the only podcast I ever removed after I had a lot people emailing me about him. I stumbled on the threads here and recently saw the news about the lawsuits. I then got into a spat on Instagram with Clayton.

I decided it was time to make my own video and during that process discovered some very interesting things. AS many of you know Clayton claims he had nothing to do with these properties after they were sold to investors and he is completely innocent, blah blah blah.

After reading articles I saw his sister mentioned a few times by investors. I also saw Nichole Meckley's name mentioned over and over again. I did some research and yes Nicole Meckley is Clayton's sister. Many people here assumed she worked for Ocean Pointe since she was the contact person for contracts, leases, photos, repairs etc. I assumed that as well in my video. (Ironically Clayton mentions on his website that is his sister also lost money in this deal. I guess she conned herself)

Nicole just messaged me on Facebook not too happy with my video. She said something really interesting. She said she never worked for Ocean Pointe. I checked into a few more things and she still lists her occupation as working with Morris Invest on LinkedIn. In fact, it shows she has worked for Morris Invest since 2016 on LinkedIn. So that entire time she was contacting investors when Clayton claims he had nothing to do with the houses, she was working for Morris Invest.

You should pass on that book. My nickname for that book is "Negotiating for Amateurs." A much better book is "The Book on Negotiating Real Estate" by @Mark Ferguson, @Carol Scott and @J Scott.  My nickname for their book is "Negotiating for Professionals".

Thanks for the shout out!

Thanks for the mention Jerry! Long time no talk.

This will be tough, I am leaving out LOTS of folks as I am bad with names:

@Marcia Maynard, an incredibly intelligent and kind lady, knows so much more about ADA issues and companion and service animal issues.

@Bill Gulley wicked smart on anything notes or liability, or anything.  I wish I knew a fraction of what he knows.  I always learned from anything he posted.

@Brandon Turner, it was an article he wrote that first led me to BP.  All of his interviews with what book to read have been priceless, I have read many thanks to him, and by watching him grow as an investor has helped me see how to mature as an investor as well.

@Steve Vaughan, @Bill S., and @Account Closed, have all taken the time to meet me in real life, if you will and just share company and dreams as a recharge from a life with no one to share my enthusiasm with.  All are kind, intelligent, and just fun to talk with.

@Nathan Gesnerhas given me great advice on managing rentals, as well as a sounding board, and companionship.  it is always a treat to share a cup of coffee and piece of pie with him.

@Account Closedextremely intelligent literally wrote the book on how to do the math and understand the numbers of real estate.  It was very intense, many parts had to be read 3 or 4 times to comprehend.  it was like trying to drink a shake that had 2,000 calories in it.  It was so rich it was hard to take it all in.

@Jay Hinrichs, has done it all and has great insights and shares so freely.

@Steven Hamilton II a wicked smart accountant, who has been able to accurately answer almost any question.

@Jean Bolger has shown me what true courage is.  She put her time and money where her mouth was.  great inspiration.

@Matt Faircloth and @Liz Faircloth have written great articles and shared a wealth of knowledge.

@Account Closed, super smart showed you could invest in CA and do great, and always a kind word.

@Mark Ferguson, who I tried to meet several times but our calendars would never cooperate.  Took massive action and wrote many blogs that inspired me, and was the first person to mention life coaching.  Something I tried years later much to my benefit.

@Brian Burke who inspired me by going from cop to mega investor one step at a time, great common sense.

@Shiloh Lundahl who got me into my mastermind group, thank you.  @JD Martin for his humor.

@Dave Van Horn for advice on notes, and common sense, like @Ned Carey who makes things look simple by using great logic.

@Jon Holdman, absolutely fearless on throwing the b*llsh*t flag on stupid posts that might provide bad advice.

It won't let me add more.

My costs are all over because we have property management, traditional sales, investing and the blog/books all mashed together. I am not trying to recruit agents either. They are a pain lol. We tried dotloop and hated it. Use easy agent pro for the website. Use podio mostly for crm. For the most part #brokerage don't seem to make money they are more of a convenience for thos who don't want someone telling them what to do.

I also would recommend that you start reading good books on how to get started. One of my favorites is by a fellow BP agent, @Mark Ferguson. His book, How to Make it Big as a Real Estate Agent, was the best book I read and was easily the best $12 I spent when I was getting started.

My mother in law was also an agent in the area you mentioned for 25 years. If you want, I can put you in touch with her to get her take on things. I would think the NJ area would be an excellent area to work as the housing prices are high which should equal strong commissions.

Thanks John! Always nice to hear the book helps people!

I was thinking of @Mark Ferguson with his purchase of his dream car, in his case, it is a collector's car and actually appreciated in value, Tesla's are not currently collectible vehicles and am aware, I suppose that should tell me even more this is not a good investment.

@Jonathan W. all good points and was originally looking at Honda, Toyota, and Nissan but are short of full electric vehicles, will definitely look into Lexus too. The Solar pays for the the battery replacement in two years.

My cars are good for marketing and networking too! I still have never bought a new car. I try to buy them after that initial depreciation curve hits 5 years down the road or more. At that point, some of the rare, sought after cars will start to go back up again.

The second house I ever lived in as an owner occupant was in Kelly Farms. Made 150k on it tax free. I love that neighborhood! lol
