Note: This event is the same as the Hard Money Lending Event on 5/10 - but with an updated title & workshop details.

Interested in learning how to flip houses in the Bay Area but think it's impossible to find deals? If you're looking for financing, partners, and off-market projects - this is the event to attend!

Highlights include:

  • We will have a panel of speakers guiding the workshop, including an experienced flipper (BP Member Sean Pan), real estate agent (Houston Garcia), and hard-money lender (Conventus Lending).
  • Current market trends & future forecast on the Bay Area real estate market, long-term and short-term.
  • Our exclusive list of off-market properties and pocket listings, which is updated weekly. These properties are only available to a select group of investors.
  • Options and resources on how to finance investment/flip projects.

Learn how you can make your money work for you, not the other way around. We will show you how to get started flipping houses, fund your real estate deals, how to access our off-market properties, and more.

Please note that this event is intended for real estate investors, not industry professionals. Active real estate brokers and lenders are kindly asked to not attend.

As a real estate investor, you often hear the words: hard money. But what does it really mean to obtain a hard money loan? How is hard money different from a regular bank loan? What are the advantages of using a hard money loan?

This is the perfect event to attend if you are a real estate investor, developer, flipper, or owner of a multifamily building - however, anyone with an interest in real estate is welcome! Hard money loans are typically used for:

  • Short-term property flips
  • Initial acquisition costs
  • Rehab work/improvements

Our guest speaker will be Conventus Lending, a hard money lending company based out of San Francisco. Conventus matches your borrowing goals to loan terms that are ideally suited for your project - often funding loans within 5 days in 14 states.

In addition to information about hard money, you will also be introduced to a variety of investment opportunities in the SF Bay Area - particularly our weekly list of off-market properties, which are perfect for investors. If you're interested in finding financing, partners, and off-market projects in San Francisco and beyond - this is the event to attend!

Please note that this event is intended for real estate investors, not industry professionals. Vendors are kindly asked to not attend.

Post: REI Wealth Builders: Self-Storage Investing

Overview

As commercial property goes, self-storage has none of the sex appeal of a gleaming office building or a ritzy shopping mall. There are more than 50,000 self-storage facilities in the U.S. — nondescript warehouses filled with cubicles where Americans keep the belongings that don’t fit into their homes. But even though self-storage is about as unassuming an industry as you can get, it turns out to be a pretty solid investment — often better than other kinds of real estate.

Notes

We kindly ask that any active real estate brokers/agents, salespersons, or individuals who are pitching products to refrain from attending our meetups.

Our meetups are high-quality and are well-attended, so as a courtesy to fellow attendees and panelists, please try to arrive early in order to guarantee a spot! Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Hello everyone! I just joined and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Houston Garcia, I am a SF Bay Area native. Recently graduated from SCU, passed the BRE exam in November of this year, and earned my Realtor designation as well.

I'm pretty new to the active world of real estate, so I'm hoping to gain some tips on how to build up a steady stream of clients from a solid database. My goal is to achieve financial freedom and pay off my student (and personal) loans by the end of next year. Thanks in advance for welcoming me to BiggerPockets!
