I am looking into this house and in the clerk of courts there is an entry for cancellation of mortgage. In a nut shell what does this mean?

So are you saying in your opinion that a bank now has control of the property? ...just FYI the owners name is still on the tax appraisal website and was the "person" to have claim a deed to the property

the LP was filed in 07 and court dismissed in 09.....just another Tibet of info CORELOGIC has been paying the property tax since 2011 and before that one of there subsidiary were (some kind of insurance company ). Again the tax appraisal website states the owner still pays the taxes. I need to know if this a property that I should still go after. And since CORELOGIC is paying the property taxes should I try to contact them

that is possible if it's current with the clerk of courts online you have access to all the paperwork that has ever been filed for said property. Liens, LP, mortgage satisfaction, past work orders and other info

far as I know the house is free and clear unless I miss something on the clerk of courts and the trustee no longer has control of the property....I am currently trying to find the owner... thinking about asking a bails bondman for help track this guy down here has disappeared and haven't been able to skip trace him yet..far as I know there is no Lis Pendens either well there was but it was dismissed
