Hey Mark, I’m with HomeVestors, have been for 7 years and while certainly not for everyone there are significant benefits in both the short and long term in building your business with an established brand.  I looked into doing it on my own, and If I could have figured out how to scale appropriately with having a huge staff maybe I wouldn’t have joined but after an hour of looking into how to create a yellow letter I was confused if I had to seal it or not!  No one wants to pay franchise fees, I just couldn’t see any way around and glad that I did.  Cuts out a huge majority of the overhead in your business and allows you to jump right in with calls from motivated sellers as soon as your phones turned on.  Then the support of how to talk to the seller, when to present the offer, and if you get it under contract 100% purchase and rehab funding.  Not to mention a team mentality and on going support from a Development Agent active in your market.

I just figured I’d throw a post up from an inside prospective.

Hey Andrew, Im a HomeVestors franchisee since '13, and more than satisfied.  Cant imagine how I would be able to do this if I had to figure out my own marketing campaigns.  A large part of this business you pay for, so streamlines the operation; and team mentality is exceptional.  Although were all independently owned and operated, all the franchisees in my market work really closely together for the benefit of the whole.  Tack on an easy application in house lending program with multiple lenders, plus on going training and support, and it all still makes sense to me.

So with this post Im sure you're about to see non-HomeVestors BPers post about "why would you spend X amount on a franchise fee when you can just spend that on advertising or buying a house".  I think important to note that its certainly not the right option for everyone, and for some I wouldn't recommend even looking into it.  However, if interested at all in the day to day and digging a little deeper I'm happy to jump on a call.

If you just want to know what would happen if you reached out to them about your SFR, Id say call the number. Im sure you will find someone on the other end more than happy to chat regardless of if they have any chance at buying your house or not. Numbers game for us, so no harm at all.
