I think this has been covered in this thread but as a licensed agent ---

I would not give anybody (licensed or not) access to my MLS account (under the circumstances described) because I'm cutting myself out of a sale!

I work with investors and am fine with feeding them the information they need to analyse properties, but that's different than giving someone else access to MLS that I pay for. Doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint.

Great post and very well written.

The really despicable part to me is the borrowing money to pay for the seminar.  You can't pay someone to solve your money problems for you - it requires personal growth on your part to solve them.

I know this because I have been struggling to grow out of a pattern I've been living my whole life.

It seems like a very American concept to be able to buy your way into or out of anything - and it's simply not true.

Thanks for passing that particular message through a different filter and shedding some light on predatory practice.

Gonna try to make it.  I'm sick at the moment but will hopefully be better by then.

Good advice from @Ricardo G. - have a REALTOR or 2 give you a CMA to determine the after repair value. They can also fill you in on the activity in the neighborhood.

If a loan is required then Compass as mentioned and IBC bank work with Mexican nationals.  If they've got cash, then cash is good no matter where you are!

Definitely things are happening on the East side.  Dignowity and Government hill are both adjacent to the Pearl area and things are happening.  The development across from the Alamo Brewery sold out and it's in walking distance from the Tuk Tuk Tap room - although you may not feel comfortable walking it.
