Eric, welcome to BP! Loved the blues festival last weekend.

Forum becomes "BiggerPockets and LargerPurses" inspiring women to sign up in record numbers. :joker:

Welcome Chris! :welcome: I lived in Burbank in the late 60s. If only my parents had kept that house as a rental when they moved to Oregon!

Lots of good stuff here and nice folks too.

Post: How To Make Your Links Live

I've noticed that some posters are cutting and pasting links into their topics and in order to read them they have to be cut and pasted again into the browser.

If you'll simply click on the "link" button before and after you paste, your link will become live. The other buttons such as bold and "quote" work the same way.

Your lazy reader thanks you for your cooperation in this matter.

Oops! Must have heard wrong. I'd definitely go with the LEDs especially with the power savings and their 15 year life span makes them more cost effective as well.

We were in New Orleans last weekend and noticed that MANY of their mercury streetlights were on during the day. What a total waste! Around here we find the occasional light on during the day and once reported, the utility company fixes it pronto.

Doesn't scare me in the least but then I'm not easily intimidated. I signed up and posted here without lurking but I was all excited about finding this forum and if the stoopid showed, so what.

There is soooo much info here that it's overwhelming for the newbie so I don't see anything wrong with lurking since it's part of learning the biz.

The big dogs rule here (and that's not a bad thing) and until I'm ready to run with them, I'm staying on the porch.

Kyle, Welcome to BP! :welcome:

Your engineering skills should come in handy in REI since the ability to solve problems can greatly contribute to your success.

Well, his show isn't that bad and I actually learned that raccoon poop is parasitic and rubber gloves should be worn during removal.

The Ice man knows his palm trees but should have know to dig the trench for the outside wiring before planting the flowers! Also, lacking in math skills. Claimed the landscaping cost 6K but installed a minimum of 4 LED fixtures that supposedly cost $4000 each.

Of course, when you're a celebrity, people just give you stuff for free.

This is how realtors earn their reputation as "scum" (another BP thread).

I'd rather deal with used car salesmen than realtors. At least they don't pretend to be honest and I like riding in a different car every week.
