Lou,

I am new to real estate investing. I have never bought a house or land or anything else like that. I would rather have the course cost less and have it in a class room setting or large group and be able to asks the questions I needed instead of pay more for one on one attention. The cost of these courses is what keeps me away. I mean, I work 2 jobs and I don't have several thousand dollars put aside to take some course/seminar that doesn't really promise anything. I've talked to people about real estate course and the price always changes. If you tell them that costs too much they say well we're offering a discount right now because we believe in our course so much. No thanks! It seems too much like a scam! I am serious about learning and actually doing all I can in real estate. I know very little about it right now but I would rather spend my money on books and join sites like these and my local REI clubs then spend too much money on a course. Like I said, as a beginning investor, I can not afford to take these courses. I know you didn't ask for all that but I just wanted to throw in my $0.02!

First of all I want to say hello to everyone and I look forward to learning with all of you! Hopefully one day I can teach someone what I know. But anyway, I'm just starting with this real estate thing. I don't have alot of money saved and I have bad credit. I'm making changes right now to fix both of those issues but that takes time. So until those fixes are made I figured I could make some money in another way. I've seen people talk about birddogging. I'm not sure what that is and i'm not sure where/how to do this. Is there a book/CD/DVD I can read to learn this? Any other info on this would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Joe
