Yes I mean home ownership vouchers... The county I live in gives a choice of finding a home, apartment, or using a voucher for your current residence.  Not trying to swindle the system, just seeing if I could use it to my advantage! Thanks for your response!

Hello all, I am a beginner, and am at a bit of a crossroads right now...

I would like to invest in a HUD home (either live there OR if i can find a great deal open to all bidders, scoop it up and repair it). However, as a single parent and a student, I am eligible for housing vouchers.

My first question is, am I able to pay mortgage on a HUD home with housing vouchers? I know that both programs are run through the same organization, just not sure exactly how that would work.

My second question is, if I began by living in the home using vouchers, would I be able to rent the home out at a later time?  So basically, will I be able to have that assistance as I live in, fix up, and build equity in a home, knowing that I will be a short-term occupant?

Hope that makes sense! Thanks!

Hello Ashira,  I am a newbie from Bedford too, your name popped up in my recommendations so I thought I'd say hi!  I am interested in investing in rental properties as well, and have come across some great deals in the Garfield area...still doing my research, but let me know if there's any way we could help each other!

Thank you all! I accidentally posted this twice, but I appreciate the positive feedback!  I have read the BP beginners guide and am working through the Rich Dad series.  I'm working on making connections wherever I can!  @Andrew Isaacs What kind of properties do you work with, and in what areas?  What would be a good way to section off areas by income, job growth, or other factors?

Thank you all!  I've read the BP beginners guide, and am working through the Rich Dad series.  I'm working on building connections, and it is great that I'm finding them all around me!  @Alex Janesz As I mentioned, I am interested in wholesaling, do you work with contract assignments?

Hello, my name is Rachel Jackson, I am 22 and live in the Cleveland area. I am new to everything real estate, but eager to soak up as much info as I can! I am in school and work full time in healthcare, so I and am looking to get into real estate part-time. I would like to use wholesaling to make some money, and eventually invest in a multi-unit property. I am just starting out, getting to know the basics, so any helpful tips or resources are greatly appreciated!
