Has anyone bought a property with high radon? I'm looking at an investment property that has a 5.2 radon. I would if course do radon mitigation but wondering if it's better to walk away from the deal or if it's something that can easily be fixed. I looking to buy, renovate, and rent it. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Welcome to bigger pockets. I'm new to the world of real estate as well. I recommend first seeking friendship from others at your real estate investor groups. Then try to arrange a mentor relationship with exchange for IT help.

I am familiar with the Morganton area. I rented just outside of town 20 years ago and similar places are available today for the same rent.  My daughter rented in town, above a restaurant about 5 years ago. Her rent was $600 per month. Not sure if any of this is helpful. Good luck.

Hello all. My name is Helen Vann. I live 30 minutes north of Charlotte, NC. My husband and I purchased our first investment property In June. We did some repairs, tiled the kitchen and bathrooms, and painted. We found tenants who moved in August first. We had some bumps along the way but we're both glad we finally did it. I'm excited to have found BP. I have been learning new things everyday. I'm excited to find another property soon and I feel more confident with all the knowledge at my fingertips with all of you.
