I would be very careful, I chose to tell some of my co-workers that i started flipping homes and very shortly after that I had a talk with my supervisor about me making sure that i stay focused on my job and that i make sure that I am not doing stuff for the houses and taking phone calls from Contractors while I am at work. I thought it was complete bulls**t because I was doing my job perfectly fine and I was not doing anything wrong on the company time. I told myself that I will not tell anyone anything at work anymore and just recently, a year later, my boss decides to tell me how he thinks the Real Estate stuff obviously did not work out for me since I have not done one since.

What he doesn't know is that I have done two flips since then and I was still doing the same exact job. The point of the story is that absolutely nothing changed and my boss got jealous because he is a person that makes close to 6 figures and lives paycheck to paycheck and cant understand how I can have the money to do flips or anything like that. I would just be very careful with telling everyone, just my opinion.

Hello everyone, hopefully this is the right place to ask this question. Just got a great house under contract that has a pool that probably hasnt been used in 30 years and is completely done and useless. I want to cover it but I do not what exactly are the steps, any tips or pointers to help me out with? I will have a guy come by to give me a quote, I guessed 7k for this type of job? I dont want to completely demolish, i just want it gone so i can put grass seed over it and have a normal backyard. Anything that i should look out for? Thanks guys

I am having a hard time finding deals, too. I finished my first one about two months ago and I was really looking forward to getting another one asap but I just keep getting outbid by a lot. I cant really help you but Ive been looking around different cities also to maybe see if I can get luckier there. Good luck

Well since this is my first one, I want to start doing more and more. I really have learned a lot and I am loving the upside of it. I get the comments of "you get what you pay for" but he just sold my friends almost immediately. I also understand that i am asking Realtors on their opinion but it can work the other way also.

Michael, Well I don't see how it will be an issue because I am still paying the Buyer Realtor 3% so i feel this shouldn't be an issue. And as far as the professional comment above, I don't get why a 1% or 3% means that the guy will be more or less professional.

Hey I am just about to finish my first flip, everything has gone exactly to plan and I should be listing the house next week. The agent that helped me when i purchased the house is asking for 3% selling fee but I found another guy that can do it for 1%. The 2nd agent has said that he will list it on all of the places like MLS, Zillow, Trulia etc etc. He even said that if we list it early next week, he will have an open house right away that weekend. My friend just recently used him and they will close on their first flip this week so it has worked out for him really well. I guess I am a little scared because the 1st agent has more experience and is probably more qualified because he has been doing it longer but I would save 3k if I went with the 1% guy. My brother has used the 3% guy for years and he has had great success with him in his flips that he has sold. Has anyone else encountered this and how did it work out for you?
