Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy my first rental property. I've met with couple of real estate agents here in SoCal. But I have one question in mind. If my goal is to rent the place to the people, which one should I buy? Single-Home Family or Townhouse?

My understanding is SFH is harder to manage than Townhouse since the size is relatively bigger and maintain it would be much more expensive. BUT the appreciation is much higher SFH than Townhouse.

What do you guys think? Should I get SFH instead? Or townhouse?

Considering the area too. I can get a townhouse in a much nicer area than an SFH.

I need some guiding lights!

Thanks!

Hey guys, I have a question.

What if I buy, let's say, 3 houses and then I want to rent out all of them. Which primary residence should I use? Do I really need to live AT LEAST A YEAR in one of the houses or can I just rent all of them to the tenants?

Thanks.

I really need advice!

Hey, any thought on investing in Minneapolis / St.Paul, MN area in 2023?

How's the market there? I live in CA so I have no idea at all. Is the state developing?

I just checked on Census Bureau and it says that the population is decreasing. Should I be worry on that?

Can someone help me?

Thanks!

Quote from @Daniel Judge:

Recommend checking out how many students attend Ohio State vs. Yale. People pay rent with money, not their SAT scores.

That makes a lot of sense. I didn't think that way. Which streets do you recommend for investors to invest in Columbus? @Daniel Judge

Hey @Joshua Janus,

Thanks for replying to my post.

I saw people said that Ohio is the home to The Ohio State University which makes it a great area to invest. But, isn't Yale University more popular since its one of the Ivy League? Why shouldn't people just invest in Connecticut area since the market price is relatively the same?

Not to offend any Columbus investors, but I'm really really curious.

Maybe @Peter Dorinsky and @Patrick Drury can help answer too.

Thanks!

Hey, I'm planning to invest my first ever investment property. People told me to invest in Columbus, OH. Can anyone convince me why should I start looking & investing in that area? Thanks!

Hey, is it true that I have to be an Oklahoma resident in order for me to buy properties in Oklahoma as a Californian like me?
