@Brandon Turner yeah I definitely set up keyword alerts. BP is such an amazing tool for investors, I don't know why it took me so long to find this.

@Melodee Radcliffe this place is amazing, it has everything I could ever want. Both my wife and I are originally from Alaska, and this place offers generally all of the good things Alaska has to offer plus some benefits the Continental US offers. But anyhow, I would love to meet up sometime over coffee/beer & chat.

@Laureen Youngblood are you related to a Ruston that lives here in Bend? Good friend of mine. But I will definitely keep everyone up to date on my business. If any of you are in the Central Oregon area let me know, I'd love to have some coffee and chat.

So I've used bandit signs once, and I'm about to begin my second campaign this weekend. It works great, but make sure you target distressed sellers in your signs (I.e. Facing foreclosure? Behind on mortgage?)because I was sorta vague on my last one and just had WE BUY HOUSES W/ CASH on them and it attracted a lot of sellers, but not motivated enough or other investors. Not my target market, so lesson learned. Also make sure you check Code Regs. In your county because bandit signs may be against code, so it's key to post them Friday evening and pull them Sunday evening

@Paul Timmins Thanks for the info. I definitely read through the Start Here page. I've been looking into some REIA meetings here in Central Oregon but there aren't any. There used to be one every month here in Bend but they haven't done it in quite some time.

I will check out those reads soon. I'm trolling through a few other books right now, but those are next on the list.

Hey There Friends!,

My names Arin Hanohano. I am new to both real estate investing and Bigger Pockets alike. I began researching and studying real estate investing about 6 months ago, shortly after getting out of the Marine Corps.

My goals are to start making some wholesale deals soon, and begin looking into purchasing a rental property for some continuous cash flow.

I live in Central Oregon, Bend to be exact, and I am absolutely in love with this area. My family and I moved here immediately after separating from the military solely to go to school and finish helicopter flight training. We were planning to move to the Gulf of Mexico for a job flying off-shore oil rig stuff but we decided we could never leave this beautiful place. So here we are, and here I am trying to take advantage of the booming economy and exploding housing market.

I hope to hear from all of you, and maybe I'll run into some fellow Central Oregonians!!

Thanks!!!!!!
