Once I went into bankruptcy to retain our house, I was amazed to find that the one thing I could not liquidate was my timeshare: a luxury item which should be the first thing to go. It's almost as if we're expected to sell the house first. I am having the hardest time selling the timeshare and the company I have it through will not let me out of the contract. It costs thousands of dollars every year. How do I get this deed off my back?

:violin: Hi, my name is Carolyn. I've been in denial that my husband and I are a part of the mortgage crisis. We have a bad mortgage, true, but I feel like we were fortunate enough to chose bankruptcy over foreclosure, just before the lines got really long. Now that we are moving into chapter13, I am eager to avoid losing our key assests: house, investments. I can spare the rest. So I am here to see how to do that.
