I'm having a problem where i keyworded "Austin" but any time someone refers to a member named "Austin Lee" I get a notification.  Is there a way to prevent that?

I would just tell the seller that when you took a closer look you realized that it needed more work than you estimated and ask him to come down.  Everything is negotiable.

Figure out what you're comfortable with, and if you can't make the deal work, you can always just walk away.

(This is assuming you're in some sort of option period.  If there's earnest money at stake you obviously have less leverage and more to consider.)

@Elizabeth C.  and @Tim Coppola , Thanks!  I just subscribed to the podcast on my phone.

@Bryan Hancock , is that every Thursday?  What time do they do them?

@Corey Jahn Did you guys install that over a slab or on subfloor?

I got a quote from a local flooring company for vinyl plank and for laminate, and have LL coming out tomorrow to give me a quote (LL gave me a commercial discount so will have to see how their install prices are

Hello members!

I just found these forums the other day when searching for "laminate vs vinyl-plank" - it's nice to know there is a community like this.

I'm a licensed real estate agent who moved to Austin a couple years ago, and have been actively acquiring rental properties (mostly SF and a 4-plex).  In general, my strategy is more buy-and-hold as my goal is steady cashflow.

I'm always looking to learn more and share whatever experience I have!
