@Nicholas Aiola could I and should I claim more exemptions on my W-4 to reduce my taxable W-2 income if I have rental properties with passive losses and I don’t have enough hours to qualify as a real estate professional?

@Robert Collins I still have not pulled the trigger yet. The only areas I know anything about are the Anderson and Pendleton areas. Anderson County school District one and four are great. The Pendleton area has a lot of new cheap houses being built. They are flooding the market in the town of Pendleton. Anderson still has potential. Especially in school district 4 on the outskirts of Pendleton. Anything in Anderson close to the downtown area and south, I would be leery of. Anything around the area on the map called Homeland Park, stay away. That is a very high drug trafficking and prostitution area.

Hi everyone. I am new to Real Estate and new to BiggerPockets. I have not pulled the trigger yet. I found a deal near my home but I hesitated and someone else beat me to it. Now I am debating on getting started with multi family or single family.
