I am currently reviewing the numbers associated with a wraparound mortgage and I need some assistance in determining if they make sense.

Can anyone please direct me to the appropriate person who would be able to help me analyze and verify these figures?

@Andrew Postell thanks for the insight. We are not local, we live in Portugal, so meetups are a non starter. Utilizing Facebook groups is a great idea. Thanks! We are planning on using someone local to make sure all applicable laws and regulations are followed as we understand this is not a generic transaction.

Hey everyone, I have a home in outside of Austin I am interested in selling through a "wraparound" mortgage. Any investors here have experience doing this and/or have referrals of real estate attorneys and title companies familiar with this strategy? Thanks!

Post: Commercial Arbitrage in South Carolina

Hello Legal geniuses!

We have a small arbitration company in South Carolina. We rent units to rent out as service accommodations. One of our buildings has a small commercial space below the residential units. We occupy all of the residential units upstairs currently. The owner has asked if we would take over this commercial unit as well with a 50% monthly rent term, meaning if its not occupied, we pay nothing, if we place a tenant then we get 50% commission of the rent. Question: can we do this without being a licensed property manager in SC. We are able to do it with residential but we are unsure about commercial and if it is legal to have a commission based rent arrangement?

Thank you for any insight or input from South Carolinians!

My wife and I need to form an LLC and have a few questions. I have heard that no one, if you plan on running a proper business, should use an online website to set up. I understand they are not lawyers and they may not necessarily stay current with updated laws. Are those assumptions correct? What other negatives are there? Thanks!

A couple years back, my wife and I setup a very in-depth asset protection plan. Feel free to DM ME and we can discuss. I am not an attorney and I do not want to provide specific details in a public forum.

 Hey Charles,

My wife and I actually spoke to you last year when we were first getting started. We still have the information you sent over. Hope all is well. Thanks!

Hey everyone. My wife and I are at the point in our investing where we need to properly set up our business for asset protection as well best business practices. We have 1 STR and 2 LTRs. Should we talk to a real estate/business attorney or an Asset Protection Specialist about how to structure our businesses for asset protection? Then we would talk with our CPA to make sure that matches with our tax strategies.

Thanks for any help or wisdom.
