Post: Buy and Holds in Cache Valley?

Hi BPers, wondering if anyone has had experience or recent successes investing in cache valley. I know home prices are generally lower than on the wasatch front, is this better for cash flow or are rents also lower? Seems like there may be some good rehab opportunities? I have heard Logan city can be tricky to deal with with zoning, parking etc. Also thoughts on student vs. family housing? Any thoughts are appreciated!

Post: Newbie in Utah looking for Network: Agent, Lender

Hello all, great to be with you!

I am looking at getting back into a buy and hold investment in Utah. I had one of these a couple years ago, sold it for a down payment on a white picket fence, and now back in a position to get back into investing. I'm looking for a real estate agent and a lender, and potentially someone for inspections. I've talked to a couple agents and lenders, but am looking for some recommendations or better yet criteria with which to evaluate the options. I'm open to creative approaches, and prefer to work with people that help me learn and understand the options.

Thoughts? Experiences? Opinions? Any insight would be extremely appreciated!

Post: VRBO/AirBNB in metro area?

Hello all,

I'm considering buying some property in the Salt Lake City metro area and renting it at least part time as a VRBO/AirBNB. Salt Lake has some seasonal vacation demand for skiing, Sundance Film Festival, various conferences downtown.

Has anyone had success in holding property for this purpose? Is it generally better/worse than holding it as a straight rental?

Any insight is appreciated!
