You need to make a copy and save the file as your own before you can edit it to use.

Here you go. Someone posted this a while ago. I find it quite useful, maybe you will too.

When I select that Google docs link you posted it opens it, but only in "Read Mode." Is there a way to actually use that spreadsheet. Looks like a very good one if I can get it to work

Thanks. I will call neighboring cities to see what response I get.

Ok thanks...  It’s a city official that said this to a fellow investor friend, and claims it’s a MN State code???  They even made him sign something saying he wouldn't use it as a bedroom. I am thinking of calling inspectors in neighboring suburbs (cities) to see if they concur - as I was just looking @ a prop with the same issue. Thanks for article. I read it and it doesn't say this issue is code violation. I sometimes wonder if these people misinterpret the law.

i am looking at possibly buying a property that has a bed room in the basement (with a legal egree) but in order to get to the bed room you must walk through the Laundry /utility room. We've been told this makes it an illegal bedroom as has to come off a hallway or living space (fam room). I have never heard of this and I cant find it in a google search. Does anyone know if this is true?
