There are a lot of new agents on here and a lot thinking about getting into the business. Lets here some success stories. What's your best month? What was the most you maid of off a single property? What was the coolest property you sold? Have you ever sold a property to someone famous. Things like that.

@Scott Beck we will be staying here in NC.

@Joel Owens I agree 100% about not making her feel like I'm living off of her hard earned money and I've never been the type to live off others. I guess my question is about training. Being part time at night and in the weekends would I still have tehr learning opportunities. I don't want to spend money on fees and things if I'm not going to get any valuable information out of it. I know I need to start interviewing different brokers.  Again thanks for any advice.

Here's my  dilemma. I'm starting RE classes next week and hope to have a license by Oct. I have a pretty good paying 8-5 m-f job and I'm wanting to do the agent thing on the side (nights and weekends) for 3-6 months to learn the game before giving up my good paying job. Also my other half is finishing up her PHD and hopefully will be making good enough money for me to go to full time agent but that's six months from now. Should I just wait six months to start or will there be opportunities to learn and make a little money before then? Also will brokers look down on this? Thanks for any advice!

Is this generally what everyone is doing??  Maybe someone is doing it better or have a process they'd like to share with me?  Thanks in advance!

I am not in the wholesaling business but your numbers sound right to me. I would be  appalled and offended if someone gave me $5-$10 for a lead that made them  thousands! I would much rather pay someone $500-$1000 to bring me good leads that you can actually make money on then to get 20 BS leads from a guy that your paying very little! Just my two cents.

Post: Where to find granite for countertops.

I've been to all the big stores, lowes, Home Depot, etc.  They have good deals because the pricing is per foot/ installed and it's really not that bad of a price! My problem is they want sell to me because I only have 15 square feet of countertop and they want cut granite unless you buy 25ft. I live near Charlotte NC. Does anybody know where I can find smaller pieces of granite, have it cut, and installed? Buy the time I buy it, pay someone to cut it, then pay another person to install it I'll pay twice what I would have at the big box store. Any help with this would be great.

That looks great! How much do the granite cost you and how much did it cost to get cut?
